Controlling JET-lag

Why is it that vacations and holidays can go by so quickly?? This Christmas Holiday was no exception. I put together a spreadsheet to help me track my schedule so that I could see as many family and friends as possible around Christmas. It was a very busy ten days. I want to thank everyone for their support and prayers while I was out of the country and thank you so much for being there to help me and Carol.

My trip to and from the UAE was somewhat uneventful, well maybe not….the trip coming over to Indy was a little stressful since my Etihad flight (15 hours) did not make it into Chicago on time so I missed two connecting flights and ended up on a 10 p.m. flight to Indy as a stand-by passenger. Did not get home until after midnight…..was hoping to sleep in on Thursday, but my landlord from Benghazi, Libya called me at 8 a.m. to see if I was OK and to wish me a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. He is planning a trip to Dubai in March and wants to meet up. It will be fun to see him again.

The flight back to Dubai was a little shorter (13 hours). I guess the tail wind helped cut off two hours. Got back to the villa around 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday night. From the time I got up in Indy and got to bed in Dubai, I was up for about 30 hours. I did get a chance to watch some movies on the flight and I dozed off here and there. We will just have to see how early I turn in on Wednesday night.
